The University of Ottawa Gee-Gees Men’s golf team will be competing at the Canadian University/College Championship from May 27 to May 31 at Firerock Golf Club in Komoka, Ontario. Last year, the golf team finished 4th at the national championship and, last fall, they won the Ontario University Athletics Championship for the first time since 2009.

Over the last two years, the golf team has received a tremendous amount of support from the golf and university communities in Ottawa, and the members of the golf team would like to give back to their community with a “Birdies for Charity” fundraiser. We are thrilled that they have chosen to support Pancreatic Cancer Canada!

If you are interested in supporting Pancreatic Cancer Canada, please consider participating in this fundraiser! You can participate by filling the electronic pledge form, which allows you to pledge a certain amount of money for every birdie and eagle made by the golf team at the Canadian University/College Championship. Last year, the golf team made a total of 64 birdies and 7 eagles (71 birdies/eagles), which means that a 1$ pledge would be equivalent to a 71$ donation (assuming that the team makes the same number of birdies and eagles as last year). Alternatively, you can pledge a fixed amount. All donations will go directly to Pancreatic Cancer Canada, which provides funding for pancreatic cancer research!

Thank you so much for your support!
