Breaking down barriers to help more Canadians access clinical trials

Clinical trials are an essential step to transform laboratory research into viable cancer treatments. Trials are where today’s care drives future progress, transforming research breakthroughs into accessible, life-extending options for individuals facing cancer.

But for most pancreatic cancer patients, clinical trial options are limited. The process is too complex, too overwhelming, and too slow to make a meaningful difference when time matters most.

Pancreatic Cancer Canada is leading the charge towards more accessible and equitable access to clinical trials.

We are a proud member of CanReview, a national initiative striving to make clinical trials more accessible for Canadians. CanReview simplifies one of the early challenges in launching clinical trials by enabling a single, streamlined ethics review for studies happening in multiple provinces.

By streamlining review processes, researchers and trials will start faster, including in underserved, rural or remote communities, and will make Canada a more attractive and sought after country to conduct global research.
