Since 2016, TELUS and Koodo, along with their nationwide network of authorized dealers, has raised over $1,000,000 for Pancreatic Cancer Canada.
TELUS supports pancreatic cancer research through several initiatives, including their annual fundraising and awareness campaign, which collects donations from generous customers across the country, with a portion matched by TELUS. In 2021, TELUS, Koodo and their corporate partners raised over $183,000 for pancreatic cancer research and specialized services. This was accomplished with the support of six different vendors: Samsung, LG, Skullcandy, Pela, Native Union and Invisible Shield, as well as TELUS customers nationwide.
This year marks the five year anniversary of TELUS executive Joe Goodbaum’s untimely passing from pancreatic cancer. Before this year’s campaign, Joe’s family, friends and colleagues had raised $900,000 in his name for pancreatic cancer research through a number of different initiatives. With this year’s incredible campaign results, they have surpassed the $1M mark! This incredible milestone wouldn’t be possible without the support of TELUS employees at all levels of the organization. We are honoured and amazed at how Joe’s family and colleagues have channeled a great loss into hope for the future of this disease.
