TERRY’S SCANDI WALK
Friday, September 23, 2022
Terry Hay was a man with a vision, a man who was loved dearly by all his friends and family and lived life to the fullest. He was a true entrepreneur, running multiple businesses throughout his lifetime, looking to make a difference. His mission was to always help and support others, to provide opportunities and give back to the community. Terry had a huge heart, you would see him often at sites collaborating with his team members and help mentor, coach, or train. His largest accomplishment was his family and his company ‘Scandinavian Building Services Ltd.’ Terry and his wife Wilda purchased this business in 1982 and created the Scandi Family! A facility maintenance company that provides opportunities to all cleaning professionals and other family businesses to work under the Scandinavian umbrella.
Through their perseverance and dedication, they built the company Canada wide with the support of their children Candace, Melanie, and Russell, who are now running the organization today.
On October 31, 2017, Terry was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. He fought hard and spent time with his family and team until we lost our beloved leader, mentor, husband, and father on August 26, 2018. Terry has left a mark on many people, he is thought of daily by his immediate family, friends, business partners and Scandi Family.
This year we are holding our 3rd Annual Terry’s Scandi Walk across the country! This walk was a vision of his family, put on every year by the ScandiCARE committee. We look forward to seeing this event grow to new heights, providing an opportunity for the Scandi Family and many others across the nation to honor him together.
Register to walk 5KM and set up your personal fundraising page so that your friends and family can support your efforts. We thank you for supporting such a worthy cause and honoring such an incredible man. Our thoughts are with all families that have been affected or touched by Cancer.
We're here to help!
