Virtual Fitness Fundraising Challenge
With the warmer weather upon us, our collective effort to practice physical distancing may also bring increased restlessness. At Pancreatic Cancer Canada we’re aiming to turn that restlessness into activity, by launching our new Virtual Fitness Fundraising Challenge! Whether you’re an avid runner, first-time cyclist, or just want to set yourself a new daily activity goal, our Virtual Fundraising Fitness Challenge is for you.
Joining the challenge is simple:
1. Choose your challenge of choice.
Run a 5KM, walk 50KM in the month of April or cycle from one town to another- anything goes as long as you can complete your challenge safely while practicing social distancing!
2. Pick a fundraising goal and set up your personal fundraising page.
Share with your networks why this challenge is important to you! We are here (virtually) to coach you along the way. We’ll share fundraising resources and best practices.
3. Complete your challenge.
Track your progress. You can use apps like Strava to track your progress and share with your friends. Once you’ve hit your fundraising goal and have completed your fitness challenge, we will mail you an awesome medal for all your hard work!
It doesn’t matter how big or small your challenge is. The funds you raise through the Virtual Fitness Fundraising Challenge are more important and impactful than ever. Your challenge will ensure that PCC can continue the vital work we are doing to ensure Canadians living with pancreatic cancer feel supported during this particularly challenging and isolating time. Don’t forget to share your photos on social media and tag @PancreaticCancerCanada and use #TeamPCC so we can see how you are honouring your friends and family and share with others!
