PCC Welcomes New Leadership to Board of Directors

Pancreatic Cancer Canada (PCC) is excited to announce the election of Jonathan Paul to the role of Chair and Chris Andrews to the role of Vice-Chair of our Board of Directors. Both Mr. Paul and Mr. Andrews have served as dedicated members of our Board since 2019 and 2018 respectively, with Mr. Paul most recently serving in the role of treasurer.
Jonathan Paul is a Vice-President, Client Wealth Management at Gluskin Sheff + Associates Inc., a member of the Firm’s Asset Mix team and is a registered Portfolio Manager. He received an Honours Business Administration degree, with distinction, from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University. He has also earned his Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) designation and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation. Prior to joining Gluskin Sheff in 2009, Mr. Paul was a Senior Associate with Deloitte & Touche, Corporate Finance Canada Inc. Mr. Paul is a member of the Toronto Hebrew Memorial Parks Investment Committee.
As President & CEO of BBDO in Canada, Chris Andrews is responsible for setting the strategic vision and growth of the business in the Canadian market, serving clients including Ford, RBC, PepsiCo, and Sobeys. Before joining BBDO, he spent five years running The&Partnership’s operations in Toronto and Vancouver, which doubled in size during his tenure. Prior to that, he was based at Leo Burnett’s global headquarters in Chicago, where he served as Executive Vice-President, Global Account Head for Coca-Cola Brands, covering disciplines including brand advertising, digital, shopper marketing and activation in markets including the US, Western Europe, LATAM and Asia-Pacific.

PCC acknowledges with sincere gratitude the leadership of Dr. Anish Kirpalani, who served as Chair from 2018 to 2022. Dr. Kirpalani led the organization during a critical time of growth and agility, accepting an extension of his term early in the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Kirpalani is a radiologist, medical educator, and healthcare entrepreneur with over 15 years of broad practice experience in both academic and private/community settings in Canada and the USA. He has been a staff radiologist at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto since 2009, where he is also the Head of Abdominal Radiology, Chair of Medical Imaging Research at St. Michael’s, and Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Toronto. Dr. Kirpalani will continue to drive progress for the pancreatic cancer community as a member of our Board of Directors and through his involvement with PancONE, PCC’s affiliate organization in the U.S.
PCC also wishes to thank Mickey Jackman for his many years of service and support on our Board of Directors. Mr. Jackman joined our Board in 2017 and was elected to the role of Vice Chair in 2018. As the Head of Business & Operations, Chrome OS at Google, Mr. Jackman leads the Consumer go to market team that partners with Retailers and OEM’s on building the Chrome OS business in the United States. Prior to this role, Mickey was the Head of Strategy & Operations for Google Canada responsible for enabling and supporting the successful delivery of business plans, market initiatives and overall operational excellence for the digital ads business. Mr. Jackman remains dedicated to advancing the needs of pancreatic cancer patients in his role as a Special Advisor and Past Chair of PancONE.
