Advocacy & awareness

Advocacy & Awareness

Awareness of pancreatic cancer is exceptionally low compared to other cancers, despite it being one of the deadliest cancers in North America. This is why our efforts to raise the profile of this disease and educate the public, healthcare professionals, and government, are critical to diagnosing pancreatic cancer quicker and making sure patients receive the best treatment and care available. By understanding the key issues and sharing our knowledge with communities from coast to coast, we will save more lives.

National campaigns

When we join our voices together and collectively demand better for pancreatic cancer patients and their loved ones, progress happens. This is why Pancreatic Cancer Canada creates and participates in awareness campaigns that are both national and international in scope, to raise the profile of this disease and advocate for a better standard of care.

How You Can Help

In order to inform more Canadians about pancreatic cancer and change the outcome for individuals who will face a diagnosis in the future, we need your help. When we work together big things are possible: your help in raising awareness for pancreatic cancer could save someone’s life.

Here are a few ways you can get involved:

Organize a Community Event – During awareness month, or any other time of year, you create an event in your community to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer and funds to advance advocacy, support services and innovative research.

Donate – Help us raise visibility for this disease by giving to Pancreatic Cancer Canada today. Your gift will help support awareness initiatives and collaborative advocacy partnerships that spark a conversation and educate the public on a national and international scale.

Share and Join the Conversation – Follow us on social media and share awareness materials from our resources library, pancreatic cancer news and updates with your networks.
